Welcome

Welcome to the Lander County Conservation District webpage in Lander County, Nevada. We are working to help farmers and ranchers in Lander County and promote conservation and the wise use of Nevada's renewable natural resources.

The establishment of conservation districts (CDs) in the State of Nevada was provided for in a state law entitled Conservation Districts (Nevada Revised Statues Chapter 548). CDs, including Lander County Conservation District (LCCD) develop plans and programs for both preventative and corrective measures, and assist in carrying them out, for the lasting benefit of residents in both rural and urban areas. We hope you will find this website beneficial as you browse through the different programs we are currently working on.

You will also find links to other Federal and State Agencies that might be of assistance to you.

Thanks for visiting!
Gerrit Bakker , District Chairman
